Ladywell House Bed & Breakfast - Falkland

19th century B&B surrounded by an acre of beautiful walled garden in Falkland, Fife. Family friendly, contains a conservatory with country views.

Welcome to Ladywell House Bed and Breakfast, a former manse built in 1806 and surrounded by gorgeous walled gardens with glorious views over the North Fife and the Scottish countryside. The property was previously owned by Francis Shand-Kydd, mother of Princess Diana, and is thought to have been visited by Diana and her sons. So for that little touch of regality you can stay in the same rooms that the royals themselves visited. The house is wonderfully decorated with the finest furnishings, antiques and art. Enjoy relaxing in the spacious Drawing Room where you can warm yourself in front of the open log fire on a cold winter’s evening. Breakfast is served in our large and sunny conservatory. Both Duncan and Camilla are formally trained in the cooking profession and provide healthy and delicious breakfasts. We use local produce where possible and can provide vegetarian options as well.

The house is ideally located on the edge of Falkland, surrounded by acres of farmland, making this a rural and peaceful setting, with a selection of pubs and restaurants to visit as well as antique and gift shops all within easy walking distance. As the area’s name suggests Falkland is well known for its falconry and provides a great base for bird spotting as well as deer hunting. Of course for those that are looking for outdoor adventure many walks and cycle paths start from the Ladywell House’s doorstep. Nearby visit St. Andrews for a spot of golf at its championship course. Within a short 20 minutes drive of the House you can stop by the Knockhill racing circuit, Crail Pottery, The British Golf Museum and the Scottish Deer Centre.
