Abbotshill House is an elegant holiday home that can sleep up to 8 people and is situated in the west wing of a beautiful country house dating back to the early 19th Century. This stunning property is located on the edge of Newburgh village and has breathtaking views of the River Tay, Carse of Gowrie and the Sidlaw Hills. Abbotshill House has been awarded a Four Star rating by the Scottish Tourist Board due to the exceptional upkeep of the house and the care that has been taken to provide guests with everything that they would need for a comfortable and relaxing self catering holiday or break away. The local village has all amenities that you would need including groceries, an off licence, a coffee shop, newsagents, pharmacy and numerous pubs.

Abbotshill House is ideally situated for any kind of holiday whether you choose to have a relaxing time staying in and snuggling up by the wood burner or going sightseeing to the nearby attractions. Nearby you can visit Glamis Castle, The Royal Palace of Falkland, Glenturret Distillery and the Royal Research Ship Discovery. The East Neuk villages are also easy to get to including Crail - a picturesque fishing village, St Monans with old castle ruins, Elie with beautiful golden sandy beaches, Pittenweem with mini art galleries and Anstruther popular for a wide selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. If you like the city life, Edinburgh and Dundee are within easy reach. If you are looking for a more active holiday, there are numerous golf courses ranging from 9 hole to championship level. Alternatively, the area is perfect for walking and cycling, and for the very adventurous you can visit Cluny Clays, an Action Activity Complex where you can take part in clay pigeon shooting, archery, and off-road driving.

Abbotshill House comprises of a lounge with colour television with Freeview, as well as a DVD player, VCR and hi-fi system. Guests can also make use of a small selection of books, videos, games, soft toys and an electronic keyboard. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything that you would expect from Four Star accommodation. The dining room has an extending dining table, seating for up to eight people and a breakfast bar that can seat two people. There is also a television in this room. Additionally there is a cloakroom with W/C and handbasin. The sleeping accommodation consists of four bedrooms including one twin bedded room and three double rooms. The main bedroom can also accommodate two additional children on a sofabed. All bedrooms have a colour television and VCR or DVD player, drinks cooler, hairdryer, smoke alarm and a teasmaid. The family bathroom has a W/C, handbasin, bathtub and separate shower cubicle.

Abbotshill House also has a small terrace with garden furniture overlooking stunning views. There is also off street parking for up to three cars. Careful smokers are welcome but smoking is prohibited in the bedrooms. Up to two pets are welcome, including dogs and cats, for a small additional fee.
