The cottage is detached and has a patio garden situated next to the beach, with an excellent pub, restaurant and golf course nearby. The local area is rich in wildlife and a variety of wading birds can be seen on the foreshore which is home to the endangered Natterjack Toad. Unlike many self catering holiday cottages, Charlotte Cottage is available for stays of one night upwards.

There is much to be seen in this south west corner of Scotland and the area is an easy drive from many cities in the north of England and Scotland. Carlisle lies just 23 miles south, Gretna 10 miles and Newcastle upon Tyne, 50 miles. From here it is possible to take in the majestic beauty of the Lake District, explore the western side of Hadrian's Wall or retrace the footsteps of Robert Burns. Whatever your taste, there is no shortage of things to see and do.
