9 Kilbrandon Cottages is a charming two bedroom self catering holiday cottage in the fishing village of Balcivar on the Isle of Seil, in Argyll. The island is situated to the south of Oban and is linked to the Scottish mainland by the famous 'Bridge over the Atlantic', built in 1793. This is a wonderful area for walking, birdwatching, cycling, boating and fishing and the other islands of Easdale and Luing can be reached by short ferry journeys. This was our own holiday cottage and weekend retreat for many years before we decided to come and live here permanently and we will do whatever we can to ensure that your stay is an enjoyable one.

Seil and Luing are home to a wide variety of bird species and other wildlife, with otters and dolphins often spotted around the coastline. Visitors can take to the water by sailboat or kayak or take a trip to the famous Corrievreckan Whirlpool with Seafari or Sealife Adventures. Learn something of the islands history at the folk museum in Easedale and the heritage centre in Ellenabeich. Seil has two pubs, the Oyster Brewery in Ellenabeich and the Tigh an Truish near the Atlantic Bridge, each serves pub food and a choice of real ales are available.

Kilbrandon Cottage comprises of a spacious sitting room with satellite TV, DVd player, radio/CD player and an extensive library of books, DVDs, games and photo albums; dining area overlooking trees to the rear; large kitchen with fridge/freezer, washer/tumble dryer, electric oven, grill and hob and microwve in addition to crockery, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans. Upstairs there are two comfortable bedrooms and a bathroom with bath and shower over. The garden is equipped with garden bench, table and chairs.

Specialities

A welcome tray complete with home baking, a complimentary bottle of wine and free range eggs awaits your arrival. Two well behaved dogs are welcome. A cot, high chair and stair gate are available on request.
