Two charming self catering holiday cottages in Powfoot, overlooking the Solway coast in the south west of Scotland. Each sleeps up to 7, children welcome.

The Old Post Office and Bella Vista are situated at the centre of the pretty village of Powfoot, on the Solway coast near Annan in the south west of Scotland. The cottages enjoy uninterrupted sea views of the Solway Firth and are available for weekly holiday lets or a short break rental. This is the ideal base from which to explore the Border Country and there are a great many attraction to be found within easy reach including Hadrian's Wall, Moffat, Dumfries, Castle Douglas, New Abbey or the famous artist's town of Kirkcudbright. Even the Lake District isn't too far, with the northern Lakes market town of Keswick being easily reached in around an hour's drive.

Leisure activities available locally include an 18 hole links golf course and a privately owned spa with small pool, sauna and hot tub. The world class 7 Stanes mountain biking trails are nearby and we offer secure storage for mountain bikes as well as washing and drying facilities. The temperate climate of Scotland's west coast makes the local beaches and countryside pleasant all year round and there is a rich variety of local wildlife, including the rare Natterjack toad. The village lies on the Galloway Tourist Route and the Solway Coast Heritage Trail, which takes in some incredible scenery along the south west coast.
