Ochil Villa Bed & Breakfast is a welcoming B&B situated in the 16th Century weaving village of Freuchie. The B&B is well located for exploring many of Fife's attractions or simply to enjoy a relaxing break. Surrounded by beautiful farmland and countryside, this peaceful house offers delightful rooms, superb home cooked food and a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Ochil Villa B&B makes a great base from which to explore this region. The Fife coast is very varied, from the sandy beaches at Earlsferry, St. Andrews, Aberdour, Crail, and Tentsmuir to the rock pools and pebbles at Elie, East St. Andrews, Kings Barns, and it is all linked by the Fife Coastal path —81 miles from North Queensferry on the Forth to Tayport on the Tay. Golf courses galore in Fife! Not just St. Andrews with 6 courses -there are 46 golf courses within 20 miles of here, mostly around the coast. Cathedrals, Castles, Abbeys, Museums and Palaces! There are many historic buildings worth visiting e.g. St. Andrews Castle and Cathedral, Dunfermline Abbey, Culross and Falkland Palace & gardens, while Ceres Folk Museum and Anstruther Fisheries Museum show what life was like in Fife in the past. Bird Reserves, Animal Parks. Find out more aboutwildlife at Loch Leven RSPB Nature Reserve (Vane Farm) and Tentsmuir, the Fife Animal Park, and the Scottish Dear Centre. Other attractions are Deep Sea World, Dabbs Equestrian Centre (3 miles) and Scottish Off Road Centre (7 miles).

Rooms Description

Ochil Villa B&B offers a choice of two spacious, comfortable and relaxed rooms to guests. Comprising one very comfortable double room and one extremely spacious family room which sleeps two adults and a child. Both rooms have television and welcome trays. The guest rooms, including shower and breakfast rooms, are on the ground floor. We have off-street parking to the rear of the property. Access from this parking area involves one door sill, but no steps or slopes. We ask people not to smoke on our premises.

Specialities

Our Food - We are lucky in Fife to have so many quality food producers and their products feature seasonally in our breakfasts. These include Wild Boar sausages from Perthshire (nearly in Fife), raspberries & strawberries from Muddy Boots Farm Shop, Organic eggs from Pillars of Hercules. Our own homemade breads and oatcakes go perfectly with the local jams, cheeses and honeys. The wholemeal bread, soda bread and Scottish baps are made with organic flour, though the best oatmeal for our oatcakes comes from Hogarth's Mill in Kelso.
