Glasgow's fab gay scene is a friendly one, centred around the east quarter of the city, in Merchant City and surrounds. Choice is superb for gay nightclubs, gay saunas, gay clubs and gay bars - there's a Clone Zone shop here too (see weblinks right).
Glasgow is one of the UK's best homes for live music and the emergence of innovative live bands. Checkout the choice of prime Glasgow club venues (linked right), including King Tut's and Barrowlands. Gay Glasgow Attractions
It's a good one, Glasgow's gay scene revolves around Merchant City and surrounds and is known for its friendly and welcoming vibe. Look especially for gay bars, clubs, saunas and stores around Virginia Street (Delmonica's), Dixon Street (Spa 19, GLC Cafe Bar) and checkout the gay friend Arches on Midland Street. Gay Scotland's weblink right offers a superb gay listings for Glasgow, including two saunas and Clone zone - a choice gay store with a range of clothing, toys, fits and magazines.
Glasgay (weblink right), Glasgow's own gay performing arts festival takes place annually from Mid October to Mid November.

Glasgow Nightlife, Glasgow Nightclubs
Renowned as a city where new bands push through, both Oasis and Franz Ferdinand came to the fore here in Glasgow, the club scene in Glasgow is one of the best in the UK. (see King Tut's weblink right for a choice of some of the best bands out there).
For a good listings guide to what's on, both in Glasgow and Edinburgh, checkout The List (weblink right). Copies are also available all over the city. Most Glasgow clubs (see weblinks right) are centrally placed, and served by excellent late night transport services!
Venues such as King Tut's, Barrowlands, the scene in the Arches and Bennets, Glasgow's oldest gay club in the heart of Merchants City are legendary. If you're a fan of live music, then Glasgow city breaks are for you!
Glasgow Festivals
Not to be outdone by Edinburgh, Glasgow has a choice of festivals running through the year, with some new ones recently emerging connected to the Clyde River (see Glasgow River Festival weblink right for details.
Glasgow's festival choice includes the annual Glasgow Jazz Festival, Glasgow Film Festival, Glasgow Mela, Glasgay - a celebration of gay culture, Glasgow Comedy Festival, Glasgow West End Festival, Celtic Connections - with Celtic music and folk, Glasgow Arts Fair, and Glasgow Piping Festival (Scotland's big piping centre is based in Glasgow).
